Nata-loan

For the past couple of years I have been Ryan’s check cashing service. He gave me a paycheck tonight but I didn’t have the right change. Long story short, I owed him $20 and he needs it for a school trip he is taking tomorrow. In an effort to avoid a late night ATM run, I asked Natalie (a.k.a. Moneybags) for a short-term joy 001loan. I even offered her interest of 50 cents; I only needed the money overnight. 12 hours. Even though that interest works out to an annualized return of over 400%, she refused to give me the loan. Stinker. Like I’m not good for it.

p.s. She eventually agreed to the loan, interest-free, but it had to be collateralized with a hundred dollar bill.

ok, I have to add this:

at about 11:15 p.m., maybe an hour and a half after I gave Nat the hundie, she stopped in my study on her way to bed. She tossed the folded bill on the desk and said, "Here. I'm not responsible enough for this. I feel like I'm going to lose it."

Awwwwww
