(Playing Monopoly with the kids)
Ryan: (Having just bought Marvin Gardens) Hey Erika, I’ll give you $500 for your two yellow properties.
Erika: I don’t know
Dad: You paid $520 for them
Ryan: Dad, you can’t say anything! I hate when you tell them how bad a deal I’m giving them!
Erika: Ummm, yeah, I’m thinking “no.”
Ryan: How about $550?
Truth is he’s right – I shouldn’t say anything but he’s really a hustler. He even wore shades so we couldn’t read his eyes.

This is exactly what Stephen does to me. He tells the kids I'm giving them a bad deal and they believe him. Then he proceeds to give them a worse deal himself. When I get mad, I look like the bad guy.
