I know what he meant, but I am kind of old. I am not old enough to ever have needed to adjust the rabbit ears on my television, but I've seen people do that. I think it was back in the 50s. I think with cable and satellite the days of "adjusting your set" are gone forever.
And why is it a "set?" A set of what? I'm just watching one. I think it is time for a new cliche.
