For the past few years, my family has been using a site called spokt to stay in touch, on-line. You set up your own private little “hub” and you can share news, photos, videos, and do even more. Unlike some of the big “social networking” sites, these hubs are private and they don’t bombard you with ads. In fact, they don't have any. They have free sites available, but for a very reasonable fee, you can get a lot more space. It is run by a couple of young guys I know just getting into this business.
