KN (Kids Nowadays)

I overheard my 15-year-old niece make some offhand comment to my daughter, and then added, “b-t-w.” I thought that was funny. I mean, I know it is text-talk for “by the way” but by verbalizing it, she said five syllables in place of the three she was abbreviating.

What is next?  When they hear something funny they'll say LOL or if they say something in jest they'll say semi colon, dash, close parenthesis?
