I think I watched eight hours of the Olympics last night, in like thirty-seven minutes. See, Kara holds the remote and she zips through everything at 60x unless there is an American in a medal round. Preliminary rounds exasperate her. She has no interest in athletes from Siberia, journalistic stories, interviews, or certainly not commercials. She doesn’t even like the wipe outs. For her, it isn’t about competition, it is about nationalism and medalism. Period.
Last night she was watching with me and Ryan. As she was speeding through, she asked facetiously, “Do you guys want to see Russia vs. Czech Republic ice hockey?” We both said, “Yeah, sure.” I thought I’d like to see Russia win so we maybe could see a rematch of the famous 1980 game. She said, “Who cares about that?!? That is boring.” The fast forward continued uninterrupted. I guess we didn’t really want to watch it after all.
Even at 60x I could see that Russia won. Hoorayski.

I'm with Kara every fast forward of the way. Stephen will seek out and then sit and watch 3 hours of curling. It drives me bazonkies!!
We are not watching any olympics, so Kara is way ahead of us.
