Check out this article on the most popular baby names in 2005. Our 2005ers are not there, but I do have nieces with 5 of the top 7 girl names and three nephews with top names. I’ll bet that most of the parents who chose “Ava” didn’t realize that it wasn’t that unique. There will probably be an Ava R. and an Ava J. in class. It even rose to #5 in 2006.
Of interest, on the 2006 list "Logan" beat out "John" and I don't see Calvin, Bryce, Asher, or Tallia on any list.

I bet you'll never see Simon on the list. It's one of my proudest choices. Poor Jake has been on the list forever. We don't know any his age but a lot the few years after.
