Fluff

For our first home showing, they gave us 30 minutes notice, and then came 10 minutes early. It was not a good day in Camp Hixon. Today we had our 6th showing, and they gave us two hours notice. You know, too much notice can be a bad thing too. Since the house has been listed we have maintained it at 99% show ready. All the time. (This is up from the 97% regular status.) Anyway, that last 1% can really be a beat down. After an hour, the house was immaculate. But we still had an hour, so just Kara thought of more things. Bake cookies, spray more air freshener, fluff the carpet on the back staircase, etc. I was looking for the air freshener in the pantry when I noticed that even our white board was clean. I did not resist the temptation to write “pork chops and apple sauce.” Maybe the potential buyers were Brady Bunch fans. Or meat lovers. Right before we left, Kara commented that it might not be a good thing if we got an offer, as Ashton Woods still has not even released the lot that we have reserved. I offered to “unfluff” the back staircase, which tremendously amused me. Kara was not amused.
