Sisters

Lately I have been noticing a lot of similarities between my first-born and my last-born. Natalie’s teacher wrote the following about her:

Natalie is a determined and self-motivated young lady, who strives to become better that she was the day before. She is always focused and gives 100% to everything she does. Her compassion and thoughtfulness of others is truly admirable.

Amanda’s third grade teacher could have said exactly the same thing. Yesterday morning, the first day of summer, Natalie got up early to work on math problems. Amanda used to do that. (It won’t last!) Their creativity is similar. Their natural compassion is similar. These sisters look nothing alike, are eight years apart, and I have to admit that they were “raised” differently, but still, there is a definite personality link between them. And if it holds that will be a good thing because Amanda turned out great!
