"Parallel" is one of those words that has a lot of options for number of Rs or Ls and when I was younger I'm sure I frequently misspelled it. However, someone once told me just to think of the "parallel" Ls in the middle as the only double letters. Such a simple thing has worked like a charm all these years. Thought I'd share.

Spelling drives me crazy. There are certain words I have blocks on. They are license, exercise, and surprise. Don't know why. They are probably spelled wrong here. I just have a mental block with these. Any tricks?
Those words get me too. And does Vacuum have 1 "C" and 2 "UU"'s?
