Minimum attendance to pass early morning seminary is 80%. When my kids learned this a couple years ago, they figured, “Cool, one day off a week.” Unfortunately, they often missed more than one day figuring to make it up later in the year. This didn’t happen and so they were left with the unsavory task of doing a lot of make-up work from home in the final months.
This year, so far, Ryan is perfect – eight for eight. I commended him on this and he told me that this year his plan was to have perfect attendance the first 80% of the year and then stop altogether. Is that a goal I should be proud of? He asked me to keep track and let him know when that day arrives. Oh, I’m sure I will, you know, within 10-15%.
