Natalie came into my study, opened the dictionary and began searching for something. I didn’t know what she needed but whatever it was it was refreshing break from her latest addiction: Farm Town (on Facebook)
She asked, “Dad, what is a synonym for ‘kingdom’ but that starts with an ‘N’?” I told her she was using the wrong reference book for synonyms, but told her that “Narnia” came to mind. She explained Erika had named her cyber farm “Kay’s Kingdom.” From there I could connect the dots. She wasn’t sold on Narnia so I offered “Neverland.” Bingo. She bounced out toward the other computer. I think I just named a farm. That’s a first for me. Natalie’s Neverland. That’s not bad.
