Last night my 11-year-old niece Leah asked me for name ideas for her Facebook farm. She had seen Natalie’s Neverland and was impressed. Her best idea so far was “Leah’s Luscious Land.” OK, I like the attempt at alliteration but I was glad she knew that it needed help.
But L is a tough one for farm synonyms. I thought for a while – Landscape? Lagoon? Her middle name is a doozy, Sherri-Rose, after both her grandmothers.
“How about Sherri Rose Gardens?” I offered.
Her eyes lit up and she scurried off to tell Natalie. So I’ve now named two farms this week. Anyone else have a need? I’m on fire.

First I can't believe Facebook has farms. another reason I will never join. Second, what would you name my farm? R seems a little tricky as well.
Rancho de Rachel
Rachel's Rutabegas
Superior Springs
Palooza Palace
Oh my gush!
Hey name my farm will ya? I have had mine forever and still call it Heather H. Boring! I am sure you have something creative up your sleeve.
OK, I have some traditional-sounding ones like "Heather’s Fair-weather Farm" or "Heather’s Happy Hectares."
Or we could go more avant garde with names like "Heather and Lace,"
"Heather in your Cap" or even "The Tortoise and the Harris."
Thanks David. I think I am going to pick between the first two. I will have my kids take a vote. You are so nice. Thanks.
