A Wolf (and a Fox)

About ten years ago we were eating out and Amanda got a salad with her meal. She was devouring it. When she tried to cram an inhuman forkful into her mouth, smearing dressing on her cheeks, I had to say something. “Amanda! You can’t eat like that!” I lectured. She looked at me not understanding the problem.

I said, “If you eat like that when you’re on a date…” then I stopped myself. What was I doing?! It was hard to imagine her old enough to date but I didn’t relish the thought. “Never mind.” I said. “What I meant to say was ‘Is that ALL you can get in your arboretum 008mouth at once?’ I bet you can do better than that. And you need more dressing.”

Today Kara and Amanda were making a list of things she will need at BYU. A broom, dust pan, frying pan, etc. They had done a pretty thorough job. Amanda asked me if I could think of anything. She is so abso-stinkin'-lutely beautiful the only thing I could think of was a stick. Or lots of coarsely-torn salads.
