Little Buck-a-rooski

Erika’s English class just read a book on a German family that immigrated to Texas. When she told me that part the homework project was to design hypothetical bumper stickers for this family, and asked for my help, I began salivating at the possibilities. Well, mentally.  This was too good to be true.

As my mind started racing to find a link between, say, schnitzel and rodeos, (which I didn’t) I began envisioning a hilarious blog post and realized that this might sound contrived.

But it was true. She was waiting. She didn’t like “Y’All-wohl!” or “Tex-Becks.” The sad thing is that I didn’t think of any great ones. I thought of a good one if the family were from France - “Remember the Álamode” – but no real keepers for Germany.I guess you could do "Remembeer the Alamo." The best I could come up with encompassed the V for W thing (Vote for George V. Bush or Dallas Covboys Fan), some fun with “and” (Texas A und M) , or a combination of both (Insured by Smith und Vesson.)

Maybe the gift is gone.

I don't know what the German means, but I bet it's good.

What about "I reckon' I sprechen."

Dallas has it all (and alles ryhmes with Dallas)

the theme song to germany is Deutschland Deutschland Uber alles...which means...Germany germany over everything....

and in case you didn't get it...gassers is not a german word...it is referencing the atrocities of WWII...but i was linking oil to gas production...(Doug didn't get it)

I am not very good obviously.
