Proverbs

After listening to the book of Proverbs, I found that my mind started thinking proverbially. Here are a few from our home:

  • Otter Pop nubbies not properly discarded exposeth abuse
  • He who spreadeth peanut butter and placeth the un-rinsed knife in the dishwasher is a stranger to unloading dishes
  • The wise child feigneth deafness rather than defiance. The wiser child obeyeth on the first request (if such a child existeth)
  • She that secretly borroweth apparel today will be a sorrowful raiment lender tomorrow
  • Tolerance is difficult to master, but intolerance is a cruel taskmaster
  • Beauty is found in thy laugh, thy smile, and thine eyes (not thy make up and thy hair style)
  • Cease to shower longer than is needful
  • A song of the child is pleasant to the ears of a parent
  • He who flexes often will be asked frequently to bring in the Sparkletts bottles

I like the tolerance one and the sparklettes one, they're all good.

Sounds very familiar ... Didn't I make up some "Rules for Our Family" like these once?

You did and they were classic. I remember them being in the form of Commandments. Did you write some proverbs too?
