Strudel

Underscoring both my diet and culinary expertise, I had Toaster Strudels for breakfast today (strawberry, with the little icing packets.) I got the last two strudels in the box, but there were no icing packets. Ryan is the only other person that eats these, and he happened to be standing nearby so I asked if he knew about the missing icing.

“Oh yeah, last week I had to ‘double-up’ on a few of those.”

Great. Twice the sugar and fat, still no nutritional value.

Also, I learned the hard way that there is definitely a reason those packets are included. They mask that you are eating soggy pastry filled with syrupy red jelly.  Pretty gross.

So, my question is would it kill Pillsbury to include an extra pack or two? Would it cost a nickel?

maybe they should just increase the size of their pouches so people wouldn't have to "double up". It's hard for me to believe that the icing would really make a significant difference in the overall pastry, but what do I know.
